Cobalt Culture
This ultra trendy fashion guru loves her vintage. And we love her style. Maggie M., a junior in Fashion Merchandising from Charleston, South Carolina, is keeping it together with this bold, yet polished look. Each item she’s wearing came from a different place. This cultured chick says the best advice she can give is, “not to be afraid to wear something because you think other people will laugh at you.”

The bright, cobalt pants from Paris make a statement, not to mention they’re an eye-catcher. She didn’t think twice about bringing Parisian street style to South Carolina, and that’s why we love her. The long chain necklace came from a vintage shop in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Both bangles on her wrist are also vintage, obtained from her grandmother’s jewelry collection. Her black Last April shirt with lace accents is the perfect match for such bold pants. Maggie makes every effort to wear something different.
High-wasted bottoms might not be popular for everyone, but she wears them well. She certainly caught my eye. Maybe it was the Rebecca Minkoff wedge shoes with stingray that were so appealing? I love it all. Maggie looks dashing in front of the Hootie and the Blowfish sculpture in Five Points. But, what’s the best part about our style icon of the week? It’s all in her confidence.
