If you’d like to lend your ears delight, take these sticky beats for a spin. “There is a new breed of animal destroying electrohouse dance parties in Athens, Georgia & its name is Feral Youth.” If this vibrant dance music doesn’t blow your head, than I’m afraid there’s not much that will. There is something refreshingly unrefined & energetically unkept about the mixes that bear witness to the talents ingrained in Chris Howe of the Feral Youth namesake. With an upbringing in metal escapades, Howe used his thirst for music as a means to step beyond the threshold of his native Virginia. “Inspired by electro and house legends like Boys Noize, The Bloody Beetroots, Justice, and Fake Blood, Chris spent many hours in the back of the tour van with a Macbook Pro and a pair of headphones, creating unique blends and bangers that would serve as the groundwork for his newly forming identity as Feral Youth.” With a budding alter ego & an enterprise founded on youthful moxie, Chris took the Athens scene by storm. His street cred entails collaborations with local favorites such as Bambara, Up Until Now and the Gold Party. Imagine the thrill that ensued when this sound beast sent a new track our way. Dibby Grippin, the latest original from Feral Youth, was mastered by Joel Hatstat who’s on the production bill of bands such as Bambara, Deaf Judges, Maserati, Twin Tigers at the bakery in athens.
