Live Financially Reinvented: An Athens Artist’s Market

Come to Community this Saturday between 3 & 6 p.m. to reinvent yourself, reinvent your style & reinvent your finances.

With 70% off winter inventory and 15% off everything else, vintage connoisseurs can go wild. UGAstyle invites you to introduce yourself to the vintage swing of things.

Bring in an oversized long or short-sleeved tee and we will walk you through the steps to reinvent your old threads into something you will love again. Just a few snips and stitches and you can recycle your way into a new style and save your way into living financially.

Local artisans will also be there to showcase their work, hold mini-workshops and tutorials and discuss their creative process.

Come out and let Community help you live financially reinvented!

Live Financially is a community-based grassroots movement to inspire students and local residents around Athens to take charge of their personal finances. For the entire month of February, the movement invites the community to take the “Live Financially” Challenge, urging each and every individual to practice new personal finance skills for the month of February. Live Financially offers free personal finance workshops on campus and in the community. Live Financially also pairs with local businesses in Athens for events, so that you can still shop and have fun while staying within your budget.

Check out what Live Financially is up to on twitter & facebook!

Local artisans at the event include:

- Felting by Kayla Cox who makes felt birds, pincushions and hair accessories

Here’s a tip from the gals at Live Financially:
Don’t live beyond your means by spending money on overpriced, commercial products. Take a sewing class to learn how to revamp your clothes or vintage finds. Shop local and vintage at stores such as Community.
