Happy New Year to all theCampusStyle readers out there! 2011 was a great year. Freshmen got to experience the fun and hardships of being in their first year away from home. Sophomores, now acclimated to school, got to enjoy themselves and start taking classes for their major. Juniors have one semester down and are now getting ready to travel abroad and seniors are getting ready to graduate! Crazy! As the year comes to a close, its always important, especially for students, to make a list of a few things that can better ourselves and our education. Before I came to college, I would have never considered myself a beer enthusiast. I drank an occasional Bud Light here and there, but never really enjoyed beer. All that changed after I started my very own beer card at Pauley’s Original Crepe Bar. The goal of this beer card is simple: drink 100 beers (35 imports, 65 exports) and become a legend. Pauley’s transformed my ideas about beer. Having drank a variety of beers (I have 10 more on my card!) I can honestly say with confidence that I love beer and even consider myself a beer enthusiast. As much as I’d love to tell you all about the beer challenge at Pauley’s, that’s for another post. This post is all about an upcoming beer festival taking place right here in our very own Classic City.
TCS readers, let me introduce you to Mr. Charlie Brennan. After being sent one of his songs by a friend (shout out to DJ Skywalker), I deemed this kid theCampusStyle-worthy. I mean, come on! He’s only a junior in high school and he’s already making dope songs like “Chicago” and “XOXO.” He’s got potential. Peep below for an exclusive one-on-one we scored with this BMOC (Big Man on Campus). I guarantee you’ll have his tracks on repeat while cramming for finals. Read more >
