ZENITH
The Campus Style is always a fan of visiting Kai Lin Art gallery! The next exhibit coming up is titled, ZENITH! Gallery owner Yu Kai, as well as our crew at The Campus Style would love to see you there on Friday’s opening! Want to know more about the exhibit? Yu Kai answered some of our questions…
What does the name “Zenith” mean to you?
The name ZENITH literally means the highest point in the sky. I believe that all the artists in this show is at their peak in their careers and so we chose to use ZENITH to encompass our latest exhibition.
What made you think of this theme for an exhibit?
ZENITH is an organic and Fall show with nature inspired imagery, cosmos worlds, and all that brings in the new season.
How did you get all these artists under this Zenith “umbrella?” How was the search for it?
All the artists in the exhibit are friends of mine – local talented artists that have made a difference in their community. From local talent Wallace DuVall to SCAD professor Dale Clifford, hipster Rich Stevens to designer artist John Tindel, organically inspired Adam Wellborn and our resident artist John Arge, we have put together an incredibly big exhibition of exquisitely refined works of art.
Who is your favorite artist in this exhibit, and why?
The six artists represent a solid collection of talent and it would be difficult to choose a favorite. As with all our exhibitions, we only choose artwork that we would place in our home.
What’s the most unique thing about the exhibit?
During the exhibition opening, Endive Catering will be providing organically inspired hor d’eourves while Jake’s Ice Cream will be scooping out a ZENITH inspired organic seasonal dessert in addition to free flowing wine.
The most unique aspect of this opening will be our block party. All the retail spaces between 5th & 6th Streets have decided to stay open for our opening which will foster community synergy. We’re excited about the alliances that we’ve built throughout Midtown and beyond and look forward to seeing you at ZENITH, our 11th exhibition.
