This is a committee that comes together to raise consciousness for the HIV/AIDS epidemic that not only occurs in foreign countries, but in our own city! MUY CALIENTE! The Georgia Tech Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) hosted “LOAN A LATINO” date auction to raise money and awareness for Sana Mi Corazon. This is an AMAZING organization that works to collect funds that will pay for countless surgeries for Salvadorian children with congenital heart disease. He and his family created a website all about “joining together and leveraging the power of community to make a difference in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.” His friends and family are on a mission not only to save their loving sister, daughter and friend, Emily, but also to save the hundreds of thousands of people with CF, and YOU can help. In just four days, the website has made over $25,000!
