Last week was the world premiere of the Soul Train Awards that were filmed here in Atlanta week ago. I had the opportunity to attend to snap some pictures of some of new and rising black artists and stars featured on stations such as BET. Being at the red carpet was so surreal, as I was feet away from some of Hollywood’s finest ensembles and custom outfits.

Last Thursday night Enrique Iglesias stole my heart. This all went down at the Gwinnett Arena with Enrique’s 2011 Euphoria tour, featuring Mr. 305 (Pitbull!) and the up-in-coming and very sexy Prince Royce. Opening with his “Stand By Me” remake, Royce had every girl (and a few guys) in the audience swooning. Royce, is also famous for bachata, which is a genre of Latin music and dance. Bachata music is in Spanish and is sexy and soulful, and the dancing is close and sensual. No wonder we all were swooning! I was definitely encouraged to brush up on my Spanish.
This past Saturday night, the world-renowned SKRILLEX hit the Atlanta music scene and came to SHRED like never before. The sold out Tabby was rocking to the the ELECTRIFYING bass the entire night. Opening acts were decent until a new DJ, 12th PLANET showed his skills by completely OWNING the stage with excruciatingly good talent. His performance was so sick, and it completely set the mood for the insanely amazing dubstep genius, Skrillex. Read more >
Call me a cougar, but I’m crushing hard on Little People – I mean, in the downtempo electronic deejay sense of the word. Why, what were you thinking?
Favorites include “Moon,” which mixes in Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” and the ebb and flow of “Start Shootin’.”
