First Listen: Radical Something
Alright, so I couldn’t ask for a better group of musicians to highlight for TheCampusStyle.com’s ReLaunch 2.0. My buddy Alex Lagemann (Media Studies graduate and football player at UC Berkeley – Go Golden Bears!) aka LOGGY, along with his friend Josh Cocktail and producer and bandmate Big Red, make up RADICAL SOMETHING…!
Their story: These fellas headed down for cuatro dias to see world-renowned photographer Bruce Weber, helping him with music and acting with a short film for an Italian clothing company. After that campaign was a done deal, they headed to Boca Raton, FL to cut a track these boys had written for Bruce and his camp to give their gratitude for being a part of the project. After one day at their home studio they realized they had what it took to make their creativity alive. After flight cancellations, missing college graduations, scheduled shows and studio sessions – they took the risk of bringing something cutting edge and fresh to the music market. Uhh…one question…are they more radical than Charlie Sheen? iKiddddddddd. #badjokes
Loggy told us: “A week later we emerged from the studio with the project complete: a genre-bending creation, nurtured by our mutual loves of Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock n Roll, Pop music, summertime and our home state: California. The sound and the movement we founded was something distinct, marketable and infectious.”
So, relax, lay back, be easy…and give RADICAL SOMETHING a listen. (ALBUM “WE ARE NOTHING” COMING OUT SEPTEMBER 21!)
JAM ON IT,
