Shello! How might people know you? Most people won’t. I am a nerd. (He kids.)

Describe Your Personal Style: The name of my site is definitely a play on words describing how I dress. Grungy Gentleman erases the stereotype that all gentlemen have to be frumpy and grandpa-like. It injects a bit of youth and flair into your step—while still remaining sartorial.
Like we said, timeless! Who are your style influences? Lapo Elkaan is a style icon because he’s Lapo. He is Mr. Disheveled Elegance: a legend. I totally dig Brad Goreski—that dude’s got crazy style. Nick Wooster is another legend. You know when he is in the building. My man turns heads everywhere he goes. And of course, Tom Ford—the man of modern elegance. He doesn’t just get your attention, he captivates. Wow, I feel like I just created the Grungy Gentleman Hall of Fame!

Speaking of Grungy Gentleman, how did you get started blogging? My friends were telling me that I should do something related to fashion. On my birthday, I went to Barneys to pick out an outfit for an all-black theme party. I was in the Rag & Bone pop-up shop section of Barneys and I asked a gentleman, who turned out to be the Director of Sales for Rag & Bone, something along the lines about getting a black and white gingham shirt. He told me that he didn’t work at Barneys, he actually worked for Rag & Bone. So I casually started telling him how much I loved the line. He pointed to another guy and said, “Well you can just tell the designer right there.” I ended up speaking with David Neville (co-founder of Rag & Bone) for about 20-25 minutes and he was very receptive to my input throughout our discussion. It got me thinking, maybe I can do this.

What shoe best describes you? A boat shoe or a driver…preppy and boring (like me) haha!
What advice to you give to aspiring student artists? Follow your passion. That authenticity will lead to success.
What’s your favorite thing about www.TheCampusStyle.com? The cartoon of that chick on the bottom of the page. She’s kinda slamming.
